Cheap Lappy

I know, if only. However, I am after a cheap new laptop for the wife. All she is going to be doing, other than email and internet is storing photos and using it to update her ipod. I basically dont share her taste in music and dont want mine clogged up with her shyte.
Any recommendations around the £300 mark ?

Does she need itunes?
If no then the current small lappys running the penguin may be worth a look, like the asus eepc.

My mate has an eeepc and he loves it, i've yet to have a play. We have a load of dell inspiron 1525 laptops in work, not quite on budget unfortunately but they are quick machines and are more than capable of doing what's required.

If you're looking at the Eee PC sort of range, take a look at the Acer Aspire One. Lovely little machine.

I'm thinking of getting one of those. Not out quite yet are they? 10th July I heard. Reviews suggest it's a nice device let down by poor battery life.
