I've been asked to quote for a new site by a current client. They've also asked if I can 'create an identity' for the new business. Now I guess primarily that means creating a logo but thought I'd tap your brains as to what you would understand by it .. also any tips appreciated.

The logo would be a major part of it, but a brand identity can include other things such as the consistent use of certain colours and type faces across different media. Such as web site, business cards, letter heads, software etc.
