The Sigma 10-20!

Eek!

Not had a chance to use it yet, literally just got back from the shop, but I had a quick play in the shop with it and liked it a lot. As I said in an earlier thread I don't think I'll end up using this as my main 'wide angle' lens, that will still be my 17-40, but for quirky and interesting shots I think this lens could be ideal due to the way it distorts perspectives.

Can't wait to use it now!

I'd be interested to see what you think. I'm convinced I'm not using mine properly smile

To be honest I bought it primarily to try and experiment with distorting perspectives and secondarily as a wide angle lens for landscapes (I'd more often than not use my 17-40 for that).

As I said in another thread, I don't think this lens suits all subjects due to the distortion effect and in just playing around with it I can see that unless you have the camera perfectly level the distortion effect is magnified which, if this is not the effect you want, will ruin many a shot.

Aye - I've used it a lot for funny perspective shots. I've even got a little spirit level to go on top of my camera to make sure it's level smile

The distortion isn't anything like as bad the closer you zoom into 20mm
