I'm doing a couple of hours work a day for a company, which involves entering info onto their database online. I do it in 2 spots of an hour each but by the end of each hour, my PC is refusing to open new windows and grinding to a halt. It doesn't even do this for ages if I use Photoshop heavily ... Is there any reason that this could be doing that ?  It really is only using the online form that seems to do it to any extent.

It's worth leaving the Task Manager open and seeing what's using up all your CPU/RAM when it happens

Firefox is likely to be worse :p

Allied to your virtual memory post, maybe you have a virus.
