My new site will have quite a few documents available to download. The docs will be PDF documents.

Is there a preffered way to have these available to be downloaded. Do I zip each one or just make it clickable so that it opens and then allows the user to save it. I do seem to find that less files are zipped these days.

AFAIK you can change the way PDF are handles in the htaccess (mime types?), so they are downloadable rather that just 'opened' in your browser, that's how I'd do it.

Never thought of that one. Having just browsed lots of sites this morning, I have not come across one that has them actually zipped so I think having the pdf either open or download is the preferred way?

Let your end user decide whether to open or save. Much more friendly.
