123-reg hosting

Hi
I have a client who got another designer to quote for a site, client paid for domain name but doesn't know if they bought hosting. As a result they have an account on 123-reg where the domains were bought. My Client specified a price range which was OK with their designer - initially. The designer turned around and tripled their rate, now unaffordable by my client.
So now they're naturally not on speaking terms, and I've built the site and can host it (SiteHQ), but feel guilty asking them for any more cash as they were screwed over by someone else. So I am trying to get to the bottom of the hosting issue with 123-reg, been to client's account and can't see where I can establish which package, if any, they have. Have email 123-Reg asking about the account, from within the account itself, then received an email saying they haven't heard from me and so have tagged the query as SOLVED. And it bally well isn't, have sent more emails and still waiting for them to reply.
Does anyone use 123-Reg for hosting, and if so, is there somewhere I can find out which package this client may be on? It only seems to happen to me.....
Cheers
Andy

Andy,
Just my thought but you're not a charity so if it's going to cost the client more then ask for it. It wasn't your fault they tried going elsewhere in the first place.

Andy, it's not just you. Plenty of clients come asking for sites, they have a domain and hosting but don't have a clue where, they just pay a bill when it comes in and providing their site is still online and their emails still arrive they don't ask questions! I've been waiting 2 months for a client to contact their current hosting company to get a domain moved. They've got 2 sites running and wonder why the old domain gets more interest than the brand new one!
As for 123-Reg. Off the top of my head (as it's been a while since I saw an account with hosting) the control panel screen will have additional options than the usual domain only screen will show. If you can, grab a screenshot of the control panel (or several as it's quite long) and either post them up here (blank out anything private) or feel free to PM me with links to the screen shots, and one of us can see what you're seeing and make a better guess at what you have. However there should be a drop down for domains as usual, and a drop down for hosting so if you have 2 drop downs on the screen then there is hosting or emails of some sort.
As Paul said though, you're not a charity and at the end of the day your client should have consulted you first instead of going to someone unconnected to you and then come crying to you to pick up the pieces. You're running a business, personal feelings need to be put aside, think of your family as that's who you're earning for.
