Toothy Chinese Man

Says it all really.

For those that are interested in this sort of thing:

Camera: Canon EOS30D
Lens: Canon EF-S 60mm 1:1 Macro/Portrait
60mm F/6.3 1/320 EV+0.33 ISO400 (slightly overcast day and I'd been having to push the sensor a few minutes before to get decent images)

Quite pleased with this one - on the full size verison you get brilliantly sharp whiskers on his face.

Chinese Fire Pot

This is in the forbidden city. Apparently the Japanese scratched the gold plating off it with their bayonets when invading as part of WWII.

I might have imagined this next bit of info, or the guide may have told me this, but I heard that this pot was used to literally "fire" pilgrims of western faith way back when.... </this may be a total lie>

Sorry about the silly copyrighting - I did this a while back.

Looking back at Mt. Si Ma Tai ridge

Again, says it all really. This is after walking about 15 towers along from the main Mt. Si Ma Tai ridge, North East China.

Very nice work, especially like your processing style which reminds me of certain film stocks of old.

Would love to go to China purely for photographic reasons. A friend of mine did this and ended up emigrating there!

cheers smile

That last one does look a little yellow and film like doesn't it? Maybe we should get together a processing techniques thread where you show us how you deal with your images, I can do the same, and we can get some best practice sharing going on?
