I didn't do it

I received an email from a guy who wanted a new website, but 'didn't have much knowledge about the internet and stuff.'

He gave me a reasonable detailed brief about what he was looking for - and wanted a price. I replied with an estimate as I saw fit.

Two minutes later - I got an auto-reply, which isn't so strange expect it was a free email account that emailed me initially and I replied to. The auto response (from the same person) is from a different email - an @xzywebdesign.com email addy. A website design company.

 Roll Eyes

I'm guessing they are just looking to compare prices.

Tossers.

Not nice that. Timewasting gits.

Post it or blog it giving all details. Let the search engines spread it.

I've had the same thing happen a few times..... it really is disgusting.
I posted details of one that happened to me, and it still get my dander up when I think about, and all the time put into submitting a quotation and design versions to have the gits be so blatant, and to claim they were doing a postgrad. course.... and me being so naive as wanting to help them out.... aarrrgggghhhhhh

Cheers

This is why you NEVER give a quote without FIRST asking what their budget is.

It's Business 101 to provide what the customer can afford, no more, no less.
