Can anyone suggest a way of creating PDF files without spending the vast amount of cash Adobe wants for the creator. I have seen a few shareware progs around that claim to do the job but wondered what the majority of you used. ?

Should of mentioned. All i want to do is create PDF Files from existing docs and files, not create them using Adobe from scratch.

I use Jaws PDF: http://www.jawspdf.com/
It costs a bit though.

As MR A says CutePDf is great for freeware.

I use DeskPDF, was quite cheap and works well. Have the full Adobe jobby on another PC and DeskPDF is actually nicer to use, and a gazillion quid cheaper.

Do these produce "Print Ready PDF's"... I read on a printer's site that they require Print Ready PDF files for jobs else they charge an extra £15 + VAT.

deskPDF has 'printing' and 'prepress' quality options if that sounds like what you're after
