I want to offer the ability for a customer to have their credit card information stored in the database for repeat usage/quick access.

The way I want it to work is to have the number represented by the following: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-1234
Showing only the last 4 digits of the card number.

I want to be able to encrypt the credit card information for best possible security, but also have the ability to decrypt it for use when submitting to the payment gateway.

What way would you recommend this be done in PHP/mySQL?

TIA

Martin
