Anyone use any on-line tools for producing documents, spreadsheets etc.? I find myself using GoogleDocs more and more but would be nice to know anyone's experiences with the others available.

So far I have used non of these but google docs looks really interesting.

I quite like the idea of using this for content planning with clients.

I've used Google Spreadsheet, once.

Also use Google Calendar and pull the feed into one of my sites - Hoping to persuade companies to submit industry events.

In fact, thinking about it, I also use their Video and Map APIs too... I am a G-Whore aren't I!

apart from google calendar, no. Once a connection can be guaranteed everywhere then they'll be excellent.

I've used Google calendars for syncing everybody's diaries, but as a company we wouldn't want to store docs on somebody else's server with little guarantee for privacy confidentiality etc...

Nope, I have a PDA so my todo lists, office docs, contact details etc come with me anyway.

I heard something on TWiT a while ago that Google are developing GMail, the calendar and Google Office to have an offline element that syncs automatically with their servers when you connect meaning you have access to everything all the time. If its true that would be very good and could be what's needed to launch these things as a proper desktop-alone alternative.
