There are some truly stunning photos in there! You spend spend hours looking through them all. Apart from the historical interest of these photos, it really is like looking back in time and really fascinating to see things from general stores, scrap yards, old houses, portraits of factory workers, farm hands etc etc, it's also incredible the amount of detail that is in these shots. Whilst it's true that most of the portraits are staged the lighting in them is stunning. When you consider that these were all taken waaaaaaayyyyyy before the digital and photoshop era and that all of this was achieved in camera and the darkroom it really puts things into perspective!
