I've had mod rewrite running successfully since before christmas now, all the redirects and rewrites work fine. Then this morning it all stopped. Seems like the host did something to the server and made the rewrites not work, perhaps upgraded something... Anyway, looking in the php error log file (which just stops at 9:42 last night, very strange) there are these mod rewrite comments. Looking online I can't get much of an answer about whether they're a concern or not. Can anyone shed any light on it?

Code:
[Fri Jan 11 21:42:31 2008] [debug] mod_rewrite.c(1643): [client *IP Address*] mod_rewrite's internal redirect status: 0/10.
[Fri Jan 11 21:42:31 2008] [debug] mod_rewrite.c(1643): [client *IP Address*] mod_rewrite's internal redirect status: 0/10.
[Fri Jan 11 21:42:32 2008] [debug] mod_rewrite.c(1643): [client *IP Address*] mod_rewrite's internal redirect status: 0/10.
[Fri Jan 11 21:42:32 2008] [debug] mod_rewrite.c(1643): [client *IP Address*] mod_rewrite's internal redirect status: 0/10.

Hi Chris, cheers but that doesn't answer my question of what this is. Also, the host has rebooted the server now and all is working again, but this error/warning is still appearing in the log.

If I was getting 9/10 or 10/10 I could understand that there's too much going on, but it's only ever 0/10. Or is this like a report on everytime it's used. I'm not getting any maxed out errors.

This is all too much for a saturday Sad

It's a debug event, usually okay to ignore unless you have a specific problem you are trying to trace.

Cheers Jason, that's put my mind at ease.
