I've recently been pushing the affiliate scheme for oscbooks.com and some of the prospective affiliates have asked if it's possible to resell the ebooks rather than promote them via the main oscbooks.com website.

I can think of two options and these are:

1, Go down the route that burt once went down where affiliates could purchase the resell rights to the books.
2, Implement some sort of licensing scheme using a unique code to activate or open the PDF if that was possible, which would allow the affiliate to purchase blocks of activation keys.

Has anyone any experience of doing this before?

#1 seems easiest.  Easy = Good.
You could sell the rights to the present eBook, but charge the reseller an additional amount for the rights to sell the next version (eg, when it is updated).  So long as you didn't update the Book every day it'd work well I think.  I'd buy the rights wink
