Finally decided to look at Adobe CS3 (still using version eight) but perturbed by the fact that the godamn yankees want to charge me twice as much for purchasing here versus the US.

Anyone found a way of purchasing from the US - £/$ ratio also good atm. I always used to download the stuff from their US store.

Also - is the upgrade really worth it?

cheers

I'm looking at something similar, I saw a solution somewhere about changing the city/postcode of your CC card to a US one (Beverly Hill 90210, anyone?) - waiting a day or so - purchasing from US store and filling in the aforementioned city/zipcode - then back to CC and changing your details back.

Dunno, if it would actually work tho.

Failing that, do you know anyone in the US?

I don't really know anyone in the US unfortunately and the cc changes look like a bit of a pain to be honest. Looks like I need to go for it - £530 for an upgrade  Sad

Likewise - surely someone, knows someones, knows someone.

If you liked in the US, would it be illegal to offer this service?

I know a few people over there, could ask them if it's going to make a big difference?

I was going to say the same as Ben, if you lived in the US you could do a good business doing this.
