At night:

This was taken with an exposure of 1.6 seconds, F8, 48mm Equiv (30mm lens on APS-C sensor). I'm quite pleased with how it turned out given I used a beanbag "pod" held as tight as I could against a lamp-post to get the image - no tripod due to strict wife ;o)

All I've done in Photoshop is wrap it inside the frame, add the vignette and multiplied a high-pass which has the effect of reducing the brightnes, but adding detail to the edges. Oh, and I'm on a tiny little laptop so can't see this properly - hopefully no obvious crappyness on the image, but you'll forgive if there is until I get home to my PC.

In sepia:

This was taken with my little Sony DSC-T7 so is 4:3 instead of 3:2 I think. It's also lower pixels, but I'm pretty pleased with what the camera can do for such being so small - it's been a really worthwhile purchase. Anyway, simple conversion to B+W using an adjustment layer (which also adds the sepia tint), and curves with a mask to de-emphasise the people at the bottom of the frame. I also added some noise to support the theme.

Not sure if the sepia goes with it Sam - looks like a pretty modern sign to me, if it was a visibly older sign then maybe. Keep em coming! big grin

Cheers Tony - I do see what you mean re: sepia - blame the missus' laptop which made that appear far more subtle. I've got literally 1000s of images to sort through, so I will post more in due course smile Always welcome feedback and critique too smile
